SIMON CALLOW: CHARLES DICKENS AND THE GREAT THEATRE OF THE WORLD
This event has been rescheduled, as Mr Callow was invited to a function at Buckinham Palace on the 14th February.
THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT.
Acclaimed actor and writer Simon Callow brings his new biography of Charles Dickens to Strode Theatre with this reading that offers a fresh perspective on one of the greatest novelists in the English language. Though most famous for his great novels of the industrial age, Dickens was one of the first ‘celebrity’ authors, attracting thousands of fans to his readings both in Britain and across the Atlantic. Not only did he give voice to his vast cast of characters, he was also a dazzling mimic and raconteur. Who better to bring his work to life on the stage than one of our finest actors, a man truly inspired by Dickens.
