Welcome to Strode Theatre

Strode Theatre is part of Strode College in Street, in the heart of Somerset, and has brought a wide variety of arts and entertainment to audiences for over 45 years.  Since 2000 it’s been busier and more welcoming than ever, having been given a stylish, bright, modern extension accommodating a licensed bar and visual arts exhibition space.

Our programme embraces many kinds of professional and amateur performance, including music, drama, musical theatre, pantomime, dance and illustrated talks.

The most unusual feature of the Strode Theatre programme, however, is the enormous variety of films that are shown, a selection to rival any urban independent cinema in breadth and quality.
