Artist Steve McQueen made his directing debut in 2008 with the uncompromising ‘Hunger’, the story of the Northern Irish hunger striker Bobby Sands, played by Michael Fassbender.  In McQueen’s new film, Fassbender again shows his supreme command of a difficult role as New York corporate career man Brandon, who has so far managed to hide his extreme sex addiction under a veneer of normality. But during a visit from his sister Sissy (Carey Mulligan, in another excellent performance) the mess of his life starts to catch up with him.
